Der aus San Francisco stammende Dave Aju debütierte im Jahr 2008 mit seinem Album “Open Wide” auf Circus Company. Hochgelobt wurde es in der Fachpresse, z.B. in De:Bug: “Dave Aju sampelt nur sich selber, und streicht dabei den Dancefloor in neuen, knalligen Farben … Sein Album “Open Wide” öffnet neue Horizonte.”\u003Cbr \u002F>\nJetzt sitzt er in seinem Studio und bastelt an seinem zweiten Album ebenfalls auf Circus Company. Um ein bisschen frische Luft zu bekommen besucht er für drei Wochenenden Europa. Neben Berlin und Paris kommt er auch zu uns nach Bern mit einem seiner Live-Sets. Das zweite Highlight des Abends wird ein Live-Set des Stuttgarters Soulphiction sein. In der Techno-Gemeinde ist er wohl eher unter seinem zweiten Pseudonym Jackmate bekannt. Seine Diskographie lässt sich mehr als nur sehen: Releases auf Sonar-Kollektiv, FAT, Perlon, Poker Flat oder Playhouse zeugen von seiner hohen Anerkennung innerhalb der Szene.
