10 Jahre Rojava Revolution
Nach dem Ausbruch des Bürgerkriegs 2011 und dem Rückzug des syrischen Regimes im Folgejahr aus den meist kurdischen Gebieten, ist Rojava, die Region im Nordosten des Landes, unabhängig. Seither ist Nord und Ost Syrien autonom verwaltet und Kurd*innen, assyrische Christ*innen und Araber*innen setzen sich für ethnische Inklusion, soziale Ökologie und eine anti-patriarchale Gesellschaft ein und wollen eine basisdemokratische Föderation aufbauen und dabei die Ziele der Revolution umsetzen.
Die aufbauende* Themenreihe im Dachstock soll, im Anbetracht des Jubiläums, einen Einblick in die Bewegung Rojava’s geben und wird von diversen Bewegungsanhänger*innen vertreten:

An der ersten Veranstaltung wird die Ideologie, die Entstehungsgeschichte, wie auch das politische System von Rojava vorgestellt und einen Überblick verschafft. In den nächsten zwei Events wir das Konzept vom demokratischen Konföderalismus, die Jineologie (kurdischer Feminismus), die Frauenbewegung erklärt und im letzten Event wird es einen interaktiven Postenlauf geben, indem Diskurse stattfinden und Zukünftiges und die Verantwortung, die wir hier haben, besprochen.
Es gibt Vorträge, Q & A’s, Filme, offene Diskussionen und soll perspektivenaufbauend und vernetzungsankurbelnd sein!

After the outbreak of the civil war in 2011 and the withdrawal of the Syrian regime from most Kurdish areas the following year, Rojava, the region in the northeast of Syria, became independent. Since that northern and eastern Syria is run autonomously and Kurds, Assyrian Christians, and Arabs have been working on ethnic inclusion, social ecology and establishing an anti-patriarchal society. They want to build a grass-roots democracy while implementing the claims of the revolution.
Given this anniversary, Dachstock wants to provide various insights into the Rojava movement. Numerous topics are to be presented by people from:

Our first event aims to present the history and the political system of Rojava. This overview serves as a basis for the other events in the series*. The following events will explain the concept of democratic confederalism and present the jineology (kurdish feminism) and womens‘ movements of Rojava. An interactive scavenger hunt will stimulate discussions around the future of Rojava and our responsibility towards the issue. As well there will be lectures, films, q&a‘s and open discussions. Apart from looking at what we can learn from the Rojava movement concerning revolutionary work and implementing it here in Switzerland, the events should also improve networking and should build perspectives.
