The name JADE VENOM is one that commands great respect in Drum and Bass circles, with his EATBRAIN imprint regarded as one of the genre’s premiere labels and his productions known for their constant appearance in the setlists of the genre’s top DJs. The last 5 years have seen JADE VENOM and the artists on his EATBRAIN roster headlining some of Europe’s largest festivals, including Boomtown, Rampage, Dour, NASS, and Let It Roll, and clubs such as London’s infamous FABRIC. Propelled by his powerful productions and energetic DJ sets, JADE’s Neurofunk stylings have rapidly taken over a vast portion of the Drum & Bass scene worldwide, carrying him from the genre’s European heartland and beyond into the ever-expanding electronic music scene of the Americas.
Hungarian-born Simon Gabor started in 2004 unleashing his aggressive take on Drum & Bass upon the world as JADE with ‘GOT LOST’, a single that led to a string of releases on Citrus Recordings culminating in his ‘VENOM’ LP in 2009. The tracks within, including ‘NO CURE’ and ‘VENOM’, now stand as timeless classics essential to the history of the Neurofunk genre and Drum & Bass as a whole.

Following the establishment of his imprint EATBRAIN in 2011, he further expanded the sonic boundaries of Drum & Bass with tracks like ‘AUDIO HYPNOSIS’ and ‘SMASH FACE’ whilst also beginning to gather like-minded artists who were pursuing their own highly energetic takes on the genre’s core principles.

The beginning of 2025 sees JADE VENOM stand as the head of one of the most recognizable movements in Drum & Bass and finds him devoted to continually evolving and pushing the sound of the genre into evermore dystopian sonic territories. As his signature track “MAN EATING LIZARD DRAGON” has over a million streams on Spotify, JADE is preparing to release a new EP packed with his inimitable productions and his most sought after dubs including the mythical “BEASTIE FIGHT”. Alongside this, JADE VENOM has also prepared remixes for Perfect Mandem’s landmark track on Korsakov “Jungle is Massive”, as well as for GYDRA’s fabled track IKRA which holds iconic status within the EATBRAIN catalog and the neurofunk genre as a whole.

As EATBRAIN’s self-identified “horde” continues to grow in number, the future shines lustrous for JADE VENOM as the label’s champion. Known for their devotion to the sound that JADE VENOM has inspired, they are sure to follow fervently as JADE VENOM leads them to new sonic territories and new worldly locations alike.
