The duo Monoski saw the light of day in the United States, and were profoundly influenced by that country’s music. In Monoski, there’s the guitarist, Lionel, a small mischievous character from the local music scene, who creates a multitude of explosive and extravagant projects. He plays the guitar like a man hurtling down Death Valley on a Triumph Hurricane, chased by grenade throwing cops. In Monoski, there’s also a drummer-violinist, Floriane, who plays with the enthusiasm of a John Bonham and the minimalism of Meg White. Monoski have an odour of chaos, tarmac and and cowboy boots about them. Yeah!
