Saraka is a colorful bunch of musicians and multiinstrumentalists from the german, french and italian parts of Switzerland, based in Fribourg (ch). The band begins in 2013 playing in the streets a repertory of traditional songs from different cultures, treasures coming from their trips, mostly did around Europe and South America. After 5 years of concerts in bars, clubs or festivals and two self-produced albums, Saraka is now playing its own music. Their original compositions are mixed with latin american and african grooves, acoustics and electrics instruments, traditional and personal sonorities, with lyrics sung in spanish, italian or portuguese. The constant parameter is clearly a “trippy” music which makes people happy, dance and bounce late into the night.C&D – guitar, charangon, vocal
