Subsequence is the solo project from Phil Duss, formerly known as Lost Sequence. He was the driving force behind tracks that got released on labels such as Demand Records, Fokuz Recordings, Phunkfiction Recordings, DSCI4, Citrus and Basswerk.

He is without doubt among the most talented drum and bass artist switzerland has to offer, having played in every big or small club and radio station throughout the country. Subsequence has also built up an impressive reputation and a busy DJ schedule, with no less than residency bookings at the Sun and Bass Festival since 2007 and has played many nights in countries including the Ukraine, Australia or Malaysia in addition to residencies in Switzerland.

Subsequences first exposure to drum and bass was in 1997. He was guided from his first musical love HipHop, discovered breakbeat and ended up focusing more on it. After developing his production skills and discovering his sound, he founded Lost Sequence with two close friends in 2004. After seven years of releases, gigs and joyful moments Lost Sequence decided to go separate ways by mutual consent, as their musical direction had driften apart.

First and foremost known as passionated DJ and producer, Subsequence also sets his focus on promoting his own nights with the mute.ch label, together with four of his friends. They have been running their own regular nights since 1999 with international lineups and the finest drum and bass switzerland has to offer – mainly at the Hive Club in Zurich.
