Kebra
Mexico City

Originally from Goias-Brazil and based in Mexico City, DJ and Curator KEBRA is a distinctive presence within the Mexican electronic music scene. She has opened up space for herself in streets, museums, festivals, and underground parties across Mexico and the continent. Founder of DESCULONIZACIÓN, Latin American insubmissive movement, sweat is her mark for liberation.

As a DJ, she has developed her own style by mixing a dense curation of electronic sounds from the global underground, which has given her a unique, unapologetic style. Her path through Brazil and Mexico translates into a sharp curatorial approach: basslines, experimental soundscapes, and an exploration of Brazilian Funk, alongside a wide spectrum of genres from the Latin electronic diaspora.

On stage, layers, textures, and shifting BPMs underpin her performances, spawning offshoots of regional strains and micro scenes, dembow and club rhythms influenced by the Latin Diaspora, leading the audience through a journey of movement and expression, oscillating between furious dances and introspective moments on the dancefloor.

Although independent, her trajectory has taken her from DIY raves in Latin America, the United States, and Europe to stages such as Bilbao BBK Live (Bilbao), Festival AXE Ceremonia (Mexico), and Tremor Festival (Azores), as well as clubs such as Razzmatazz (Barcelona), Otra Cena (Lisbon), and Material Art (Mexico City).

In 2025, KEBRA was invited by Nathy Peluso to perform as DJ and movement director on one of the Grasa Tour shows and hosted HorsegiirL’s Boiler Room. That same year, Nicolás Jaar invited her to close his show in Mexico. Also in 2025, KEBRA canceled her participation in Sónar Festival Barcelona due to her ties to KKR, making a decisive statement in her career.

She was cited by Service95, Dua Lipa’s editorial newsletter, alongside Clementaum, Irmas de Pau, Six Sex, and Akriila, as one of the Latin music artists to watch.
