Rodney (stage name F.Stokes, pronounced “F Dot Stokes”) is a Chicago-native and now Bay Area-based rapper who has shared bills globally with Nas, Mos Def, Pusha T, Sean P, Bastille, Erykah Badu, P.O.S., Ryan Leslie, Stalley, Red Man, and DMX, and who has performed at various festivals including Montreal Jazz Festival, The Essence Festival, VooDoo Festival, Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, and Summer Set Festival. F. Stokes’ lyrical work focuses on the triumph of human possibility, and he is now working on creating “Rappin’ Ricky”, a project to create an animated child rap star who uses hip-hop as a learning tool to inspire kids of all ages and demographics.
